Apostille for a Degree Certificate

An apostille is a government-issued certificate that authenticates the origin of your degree for use abroad. It is required when a foreign employer, school, or government authority needs to verify that your degree was issued by a legitimate institution in your home country.

What Is an Apostille?

The apostille is defined under the 1961 Hague Convention. In the UK, it is issued by the FCDO; in the USA by the Secretary of State; in South Africa by the DIRCO. Once apostilled, your degree is recognised in all 118 Hague Convention countries without further legalisation.

Important: Vietnam Needs More Than an Apostille

Vietnam is NOT a Hague Convention member. For Vietnam, your degree needs full legalisation: notarisation → FCDO authentication → Vietnamese Embassy attestation. We manage this entire process.

Process (UK → Hague Countries)

  1. Get a certified copy or original of your degree
  2. Submit to the FCDO (£30 fee)
  3. Apostille attached and document returned
  4. Ready for use in 118 countries

Processing time: 5–10 working days standard, 2–3 days express.
